CRNA Schools in Nevada: Roseman & UNLV Admissions, Costs

The CRNA schools in Nevada are Roseman University in Henderson and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the two accredited entry-to-practice nurse anesthesia programs in the current COA directory. Both offer a 36-month doctoral program that opens online and then requires in-person training. Where they differ is in their admission rules, application timing and how they bill.

Both programs are new enough that they're still on initial accreditation, so you'll want each school's current, cohort-specific rules in writing before you plan around them. COA directory

Which nurse anesthesia programs are located in Nevada?

Roseman in Henderson and UNLV in Las Vegas are the two, and both hold initial COA accreditation.

Initial accreditation means the program is accredited. It doesn't mean the school is still seeking approval. UNLV's January 2026 report to the Nevada Legislature explains that it received its initial accreditation award notice in June 2025 and started its first cohort that fall. What should you verify before applying?

Roseman publishes requirements labeled for a specific cohort. At UNLV, get the CRNA applicant checklist straight from the School of Nursing.

Roseman's current requirements apply specifically to cohorts beginning July 2028. They name a minimum science GPA of 3.0 and a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0, with outstanding graduate achievement described as an alternative consideration for the cumulative GPA. CCRN is required. Anatomy, physiology, chemistry and statistics need a B or better within ten years of applying. The experience minimum is one current critical care year, with two preferred, and PICU appears among the preferred settings alongside surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro and trauma ICUs. NICU and the emergency department aren't on that list, so ask Roseman before you count either one. Roseman also requires BLS and ACLS, and the GRE isn't among its listed requirements. UNLV's CRNA page directs applicants to the School of Nursing's graduate admissions team (gradnursingadmissions@unlv.edu). Ask them for the checklist for your intended CRNA cohort, including:

• Which GPA calculations and prerequisite grades it screens, plus course-age and lab rules.
• When your qualifying critical care year has to be complete, and whether your particular unit and responsibilities meet its definition.
• Whether GRE, CCRN, shadowing and life-support documentation are required, preferred or due after an offer.
• Which application portal, references, transcripts and supplemental documents have to be complete by the deadline.

These questions matter because a general graduate policy can differ from a specialty's rule. And an enrolled student's requirement to keep a 3.0 GPA doesn't tell you the admission minimum. Use the prerequisite guide to organize your transcript questions before you buy another course.

When do applications open, and which entering class do they cover?

Roseman announces applications opening January 1, 2027 for a July 2028 start. Ask admissions for the closing date and whether review is rolling before you build your submission calendar. And keep the year applications open separate from the year you'd actually start.

UNLV graduate deadlines

For either school, track four separate items: the application window, when all supporting documents have to arrive, interview timing and matriculation. That way a general deadline can't convince you there's an application open when there isn't.

How much does CRNA school in Nevada cost?

Roseman publishes an annual schedule and UNLV publishes a per-credit differential fee, so neither one gives you an all-in program price.

Roseman's listed annual tuition, technology and instructional-material charges add up to $54,950 before the listed insurance. Add that insurance and you get $59,038 for those categories at the displayed rates. Neither number locks in a 2028 entrant's price or gives you a full cost of attendance. Roseman says it doesn't charge different in-state and out-of-state tuition.

UNLV's official 2026-2027 CRNA plan requires at least 91 credits. Apply the listed $800 differential to 91 credits and you get $72,800 in differential charges alone, assuming that rate holds unchanged for every required credit. So the two schools' numbers aren't comparable as published. Use the same categories and the same time period for both schools, then add housing, clinical travel and the hit from working less.

Does hybrid delivery mean you can stay in your current home?

No. Neither program is a fully remote route to initial nurse anesthesia practice. Roseman's first-year teaching is largely online, and clinical assignments may be in or outside Nevada. UNLV describes its first semester as fully online and its clinical experience as using local healthcare facilities. Ask each school for required campus dates and actual assignment policies before you sign a lease.

UNLV's handbook puts clinical coursework after the foundational phase, and its sample sequence totals 2,040 clinical hours. That's a sample curriculum. It doesn't guarantee every student finishes with exactly that number. The plan combines science courses, clinical courses and a DNP project, and the generic DNP website's "available online" label doesn't override the CRNA track's attendance requirements. Fair warning: the same handbook strongly discourages outside work because of academic, lab and clinical demands. It does offer limited recommendations for students who choose to work, but that doesn't make a paycheck during training a dependable funding plan. Build a budget that doesn't depend on keeping your full-time ICU schedule as is.

What do accreditation and outcomes tell you?

Both Nevada programs hold initial COA accreditation, and the directory lists their next review dates in May 2030. A next-review date is part of the accreditation process. Don't read it as an automatic program closure date.

UNLV's first cohort started in Fall 2025 in a three-year program, so it hasn't graduated a class or posted NCE results yet. For Roseman, ask for the latest dated figures, the cohort they cover and the denominator before you compare first-attempt NCE success, attrition or six-month employment.

You can still compare program design, clear admission criteria, clinical placement policies and cost transparency. Those are concrete decisions you can make before a program has a long record of graduating classes.

How should you build your Nevada shortlist?

Start with your intended entering year, your qualifying experience and your transcript. For Roseman, use the explicitly labeled 2028 requirements. For UNLV, get the current CRNA checklist from the School of Nursing. Then request itemized costs and the required classroom and clinical locations.
